<p>The ancient tradition wants that in the night between the 30^th April and the 1^st May in Terni the arrival of spring should be celebrated with a big event: the <strong>Cantamaggio</strong>, that this year reaches its 121^st edition.&nbsp;</p> <br> <p>A complete innovation for 2017 is going to be the pairing of the six competing floats with the apparently original districts of Terni in the far 17^th century.</p><p></p> <p>To open the "Spring Festival", from the 28^th April to the 14^th May, there will be the seventh competition of songs in dialect "G. Capiato" at the Secci Theatre, whereas in the evening of 30^th April it will be the turn of the floats' parade along the town's streets (with reply and awarding on the 1^st May).</p> <p>The sixth contest for poets "Alighiero Maurizi" is instead going to take place at the Secci Theatre on the 5^th May at 4 pm, whereas on the 6^th, 13^th and 14^th May the "May Festival" is going to be organized in the districts.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>For further information:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><a href="http://www.cantamaggio.com/">www.cantamaggio.com</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/EnteCantamaggioTernano/">https://www.facebook.com/EnteCantamaggioTernano/</a></p> <br> <p>L'antica tradizione vuole che nella notte tra il 30 aprile e il primo maggio a Terni si celebri l'arrivo della primavera con una grande festa: il<strong> Cantamaggio</strong>, che quest'anno raggiunge la sua 121esima edizione.</p> <br> <p>Novità assoluta per il 2017 è l'abbinamento dei sei carri in concorso con i rioni in cui sembrerebbe fosse suddivisa la città di San Valentino nel lontano XVII secolo.</p><p></p> <p>Ad aprire la "Festa di primavera", dal 28 aprile al 14 maggio, sarà il settimo concorso delle canzoni in dialetto ‘G.
