<p>The “<strong>Festival of Science and Philosophy - Virtue and Knowledge</strong>” is returning to Foligno from 26^th to 29^th April, with four days of conferences, meetings, debates and specific activities for schools and students in the Quintana Town.&nbsp;</p> <br> <p>The main theme of this eighth edition is “The Man’s adventure: from which past, towards which future”, that will be dealt with by following the central thread: Science allows to explain what happens around us, in the microcosm and macrocosm, changes our way of producing, working, moving, travelling, buying, communicating, so to shape our way of living and thinking.</p>Human species until the Homo Sapiens have deeply modified Earth and themselves. The broad and quick changes resulted in deep differences with the even recent past. The free practice of science together with social justice and peace can ensure for the future of the man’s adventure an equally distributed and sustainable development. <p></p> <p>The topic will be dealt with by scientists, philosophers, journalists, men and women of culture through the following sections: “Brain and mind”, “Climate changes”, “Migrations”, “The conquer of space”, “Natural risks and Science in order to rationally live with it”.</p> <p>Important protagonists will also be the young people who will participate not just as viewers but also as creators, organizers and speakers of the event, that will strengthen its feature of appointment to analyse and study the present and look to the future with the optimism of knowledge.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="http://www.festascienzafilosofia.it/wp-content/uploads/FSF_BROCHURE_2018_web.pdf">Here</a>&nbsp;you can find the<strong> programme </strong>of the Festival.</p> <p><strong>For further information: </strong><br> <a href="http://www.festascienzafilosofia.it/">http://www.festascienzafilosofia.it/</a></p> Nella Città della Quintana quattro giorni di conferenze, incontri, dibattiti e attività specifiche per scuole e studenti: dal 26 al 29 aprile torna la " <strong>Festa di Scienza e Filosofia - Virtute e Canoscenza</strong>" di Foligno. <br> <p>Tema portante di questa ottava edizione è "L’avventura dell’Uomo: da quale passato, verso quale futuro", che sarà affrontato seguendo il filo conduttore: la Scienza consente di spiegare ciò che avviene attorno a noi, nel microcosmo e nel macrocosmo, cambia il modo di produrre, lavorare, spostarci e viaggiare, acquistare, comunicare, plasmando il modo di vivere e di pensare.</p>Le specie umane fino a Homo sapiens hanno profondamente modificato la Terra e se stesse. L’ampiezza e la rapidità dei cambiamenti hanno prodotto differenze molto profonde con il passato anche recente.
