<p><strong>Dal 4 luglio al 4 agosto, la Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria espone questa eccezionale opera, che segna un importante momento di crescita dell’artista, divenendo manifesto della sua “maniera moderna”.</strong></p> <br> <p>Un lungo viaggio da <strong>San Pietroburgo </strong>a <a href="https://www.umbriatourism.it/it_IT/-/perugia"><strong>Perugia </strong></a>ha portato la splendida “<strong>Madonna Benois</strong>” dalle collezioni dell’<strong>Ermitage</strong> alla <a href="https://www.umbriatourism.it/it_IT/-/galleria-nazionale-dell-umbria-perugia"><strong>Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria</strong></a>: dopo 35 anni dalla sua unica esposizione, torna in Italia il capolavoro di un giovane<strong> Leonardo da Vinci</strong> in occasione delle celebrazioni del suo cinquecentenario.</p>&nbsp; <br> L’opera sarà in mostra dal <strong> 4 luglio</strong> al <strong> 4 agosto</strong>, in un confronto iconografico tra <strong>Leonardo </strong>e <strong>Pietro Vannucci</strong>, detto <strong>Il Perugino</strong>. <br> La Madonna Benois, icona conosciuta nel mondo, è un’opera chiave del giovane Leonardo da Vinci. Dipinta con ogni probabilità tra il 1478 e il 1480, segna la sua indipendenza dallo stile e dalla formazione di Verrocchio, nella cui bottega il maestro era entrato circa 10 anni prima: un manifesto di quella “maniera moderna” di cui l’artista fu iniziatore. Al suo secondo impegno su uno dei temi religiosi più diffusi, all’età di ventisei anni, l’artista rompe con la tradizione e inventa una nuova figura di Maria: non più l’imperturbabile Regina dei cieli, ma una semplice madre che gioca con il proprio figlio. <br> La mostra rinsalda il legame tra la Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria e il Museo Ermitage di San Pietroburgo: <strong>La lavandaia</strong>, capolavoro di <strong>Jean Siméon Chardin </strong>dell’Ermitage, esposta alla mostra della Galleria dedicata alle Bolle di sapone da poco conclusa; lo scorso dicembre l’ <strong>Annunciazione della Vergine Maria</strong> di <strong>Piero della Francesca</strong>, cimasa del Polittico di Sant’Antonio, era stata eccezionalmente prestata dalla Galleria perugina al museo russo, che ora sceglie di celebrare il genio del grande artista toscano proprio nel suo paese natale. <p></p> <p><strong>Orari</strong>: da martedì a domenica, 8.30-19.30; lunedì 12.00-19.30 (ultimo ingresso ore 18.30)<br> <strong>Informazioni</strong>: Tel. 075.58668436; gallerianazionaleumbria@beniculturali.it&nbsp;<br> <strong>Biglietteria/Bookshop</strong>: Tel. 075.5721009; gnu@sistemamuseo.it<br> <a href="https://gallerianazionaledellumbria.it/">www.gallerianazionaleumbria.it&nbsp;</a></p> <p><strong>From July 4th to August 4th, the National Gallery of Umbria will expose this exceptional work, which marks an important moment of Leonardo’s growth, showing his “modern way”.</strong></p> <br> <p>A long journey from Saint Petersburg to Perugia brought the wonderful <em>Virgin Benois</em> from the Ermitage Museum collections to the National Gallery of Umbria: after 35 years since it last exhibited, the masterpiece of a young Leonardo Da Vinci is returns to Italy in occasion of his 500^th anniversary. This work will be on display from July 4^th to August 4^th, in an iconographic comparison between Leonardo and Pietro Vannucci, called Il Perugino (the Perugian).</p><p></p> <p>The <em>Virgin Benois</em>, a popular icon in the world, is a crucial work of the young Leonardo Da Vinci. Probably painted between 1478 and 1480, it marks his independence from the style and the formation of Verrocchio, whose studio the master entered about 10 years earlier: a manifestation of the "Modern way" which the artist initiated.
