<p>Civitella del Lago, a little medieval village near Orvieto, is going to organize the 2018 edition of the “<strong>Painted Egg’s National Exhibition-Competition</strong>” from 1st April to 1st May.</p> <br> <p>Painting eggs during Easter’s time is a very ancient habit, highly widespread in Europe and especially in the central Italy: eggs used to be painted by using natural colours derived by infusions of flowers, herbs, onions and more.</p><p></p> <p>Civitella del Lago decided to save and enhance this ‘poor art’ by organizing a national exhibition-competition: over the years thousands of painted eggs have been collected and turned into artworks using a variety of techniques.</p> <p>2005 saw the opening to the public of an original Museum, unique in the world, that exhibits thousands of painted or carved eggs from all animal species.</p> <p>Special Theme of this year is the Olive Oil, an inspiration crossing histories, spirituality, mythology, tradition and culture.</p> <strong>For further information:</strong> <br> <a href="http://www.ovopinto.it/">http://www.ovopinto.it/</a> <br> Civitella del Lago, piccolo borgo medievale nelle vicinanze di Orvieto, dal primo aprile al primo maggio, organizza l'edizione 2018 della " <strong>Mostra Concorso Nazionale Ovo Pinto</strong>". <br> Dipingere le uova durante il periodo pasquale è un’antichissima usanza, molto diffusa in Europa e soprattutto nel centro Italia: le uova si coloravano utilizzando colori naturali derivati da infusi di fiori, erbe, cipolle ed altro.&nbsp; <br> Arte povera che a Civitella del Lago si è deciso di salvare e valorizzare con l’organizzazione di una mostra concorso nazionale: nel corso degli anni sono così state raccolte migliaia di uova dipinte e trasformate in opere d’arte con le tecniche più svariate. <br> Nel 2005 è stato anche aperto al pubblico un Museo originale, unico al mondo, in cui sono esposte, dipinte o scolpite, migliaia di uova di tutte le specie animali. <br> Tema Speciale di quest'anno è l'Olio di Oliva, un'ispirazione che attraversa storie, spiritualità, mitologia, tradizione e cultura. <strong>Per maggiori informazioni:&nbsp;</strong> <br> <a href="http://www.ovopinto.it/">http://www.ovopinto.it/</a> <br>
