La <strong> LXVI Settimana di Studi sull'Alto Medioevo </strong>si terrà dal 5 all'11 aprile 2018 presso l'Albornoz Palace Hotel e avrà come oggetto “Le migrazioni nell'alto medioevo”. <br> <p>La LXVI Settimana si propone di analizzare non la mobilità medievale, bensì i veri processi migratori, gli spostamenti in cui siano constatabili luoghi di partenza e nuovi insediamenti.</p>Spostamenti non di individui bensì di gruppi umani, di composizione eventualmente fluida e variabile ma che abbiano una rilevanza sociale collettiva. Appunto a questa dimensione si darà spazio ponendo attenzione alle migrazioni di usi, di modelli, di pratiche sociali, di oggetti, di competenze culturali, di immagini. Una prima parte della settimana sarà dedicata agli aspetti etno-antropologici. Una seconda ai ‘casi’ più rilevanti di migrazioni di massa e ai loro riflessi sociali. This year's theme will be: “Migration in the Early Middle Ages”. <br> <p>The LXVI Week of Study does not plan to analyse medieval mobility, but rather the true migration processes, the displacements in which the places of departure and the new settlements can be verified.</p>Displacements not of individuals but of human groups, of possibly fluid variable composition, but which have a collective social relevance. Space will be given, in particular, to this dimension paying attention to the migration of customs, models, social practices, objects, cultural competences, images. A first part of the week will be devoted to the ethnic anthropological aspects. A second part to the most relevant 'cases' of mass migration and their social consequences.
