<p>Il 15 e il 16 marzo la celebre "<strong>Corsa dei Due Mari</strong>" fa tappa anche in Umbria!</p> <br> <p>Per la 54a edizione (in programma dal 13 al 19 marzo) è stato scelto un percorso leggermente diverso da quelli degli ultimi anni, che torna verso le Tirreno-Adriatico costellate di muri. I muri sono presenti lungo tutto il percorso con pendenze a volte anche oltre il 18%.</p> <p>La tappa n. 3 (Pomarance-Foligno) di 224 km è una tappa molto lunga, ondulata nella prima parte e quindi sempre più pianeggiante man mano che ci si avvicina all’arrivo.</p>Si attraversa il Senese con continui saliscendi, tra cui il Passo del Rospatoio fino a entrare in Umbria nella piana del Trasimeno e arrivare, sfiorando Assisi e Spello, alla volata finale attorno alle mura di Foligno. <p></p> <p>Si parte poi da Foligno, la mattina di sabato 16 marzo, per la tappa n. 4, alla volta di Fossombrone (223 km). È la tappa più dura assieme a quella del giorno seguente. Partiti da Foligno si raggiunge l’Appennino Umbro-Marchigiano attraverso strade ondulate non particolarmente impegnative fino al passaggio nelle vicinanze di Fossombrone. Da lì inizia una sequenza di muri più o meno ripidi e impegnativi, su strade tipiche delle valli marchigiane con carreggiata ridotta fino al doppio circuito e relativo doppio passaggio finale sul Muro dei Cappuccini, affrontato a pochi chilometri (5,7 km) dal traguardo finale di Fossombrone.</p> <p>Come sempre la Tirreno-Adriatico si aprirà con la cronometro a squadre del Lido di Camaiore, per concludersi invece con la prova individuale contro il tempo a San Benedetto del Tronto.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Per maggiori informazioni:</strong></p> <p><a href="http://www.tirrenoadriatico.it/">http://www.tirrenoadriatico.it/</a></p> On 15th and 16th March the famous “Race of Two Seas” will also stop in Umbria! <br> <p>For the 54^th edition (scheduled from 13^th to 19^th March) it has been chosen a slightly different route in comparison with the last years, which returns to the Tyrrhenian-Adriatic with many walls. The walls are present along the entire route with slopes that can sometimes exceed 18%.</p> <p>Stage 3 (Pomarance-Foligno) of 224 km is a very long stage, hilly in the first part and therefore increasingly flat as you approach the finish line.</p>You cross the Siena area with continuous ups and downs, including the Rospatoio Pass until you enter Umbria in the Trasimeno plain and arrive, approaching Assisi and Spello, at the final sprint around the walls of Foligno. <p></p> <p>Then the itinerary is starting from Foligno, on the morning of Saturday 16^th March, for the stage no. 4, towards Fossombrone (223 km). It is the hardest stage together with the one on the following day. Once you will leave Foligno, you will reach the Umbro-Marchigiano Apennines through hilly roads that are not particularly demanding until you pass near Fossombrone. From there it's going to start a sequence of more or less steep and demanding walls, on roads that are typical of the Marche region’s valleys with reduced roadway up to the double circuit and its final double passage on the wall of the Capuchins, faced a few kilometers (5.7 km) from the final finish line of Fossombrone.</p> <p>As always, the Tyrrhenian – Adriatic Race will open with the team time trial of Lido di Camaiore and will instead end with the individual time trial in San Benedetto del Tronto.</p> <p><strong>For more information:</strong></p> <p><a href="http://www.tirrenoadriatico.it/">http://www.tirrenoadriatico.it/</a></p>
